This online master’s concentration is designed to help you gain the skills you need to become an effective project manager in your organization. During this 36-credit program, you’ll learn how to manage teams, track projects, and integrate the latest industry knowledge. You’ll take an intensive array of pure project management courses that focus on risk management, project cost, communication, and more. You will also prepare to sit for several relevant industry certification exams.

  • Our project management programs have received specialized program accreditation by the Global Accreditation Center (GAC) of the Project Management Institute (PMI)®
  • We offer courses annually in the spring, summer, and fall terms
  • The concentration’s foundational course (PMAN 634) incorporates content from PMI and A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide)
  • The concentration is completely integrated with our graduate certificate in project management; students who earn the certificate may be able to apply up to 12 credits towards this program

Mission Statement: The mission of the project management concentration is to complement general business management and information technology (IT) skills with a robust combination of foundational and advanced project management expertise that equips business and IT managers (from the MSM and MSIT degree programs) to effectively manage and lead a wide spectrum of projects—ranging from simple to exceptionally large and complex. The overarching goal is to emphasize and develop a blend of hard and soft skills that prepares students for management and leadership roles in any industry or work environment.
